Meet Jesus
What do you think about Jesus? There are plenty of theories out there; most people will at least claim that Jesus of Nazareth was a decent human being. But the real Jesus--the Jesus of the Bible--did not leave that as an option for us. The Bible certainly tells us that He was totally human (Luke 2:1-7; 2:51,52), but He was so much more. The same Bible foretold hundreds of years ahead of time that God Himself would visit planet earth (Isaiah 9:6,7). He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14). Jesus' best friends tell us that He was God in sinless human flesh (John 1:1-3; 14).
He came on a rescue mission for fallen humanity (Matthew 20:28). Jesus went to a cross to pay a penalty none of us could ever pay. His death on the cross and His resurrection totally satisfied the holy outrage God has toward sin (Romans 3:22-26). Jesus Himself tells us that all who put their faith in Him will never be condemned by God, will possess everlasting life, and will have already passed from death to life (John 5:24).
Why is Jesus the only way to God? Because He's just mean or bigoted? No. Jesus is the only way to God because He is God. He is the only way to heaven because He is the only one qualified to take you there. There are no other sinless Saviors. There is just Jesus, and Jesus is enough.
